Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

Acquired the guitar on musiciansfriend.com for $360, at least $50 below the general retail price at the time.

The first thing you're going to notice about the Platinum Virgin is of course the shape. It has a rounded bottom, two curved spikes on the sides, and a bat like headstock carving. The finish has really smooth highlights. Just holding this guitar is like a mini orgasm.

What isn't there to like about this?? Well, while it looks pretty cool it may not get the best sound out of a normal amp. But, if you've got a pedal, mixer, or something to modify the amp output you'll get good sound. But, I wouldn't call the output from a regular amp 'rich' or anything flattering like that. If anything it may be a bit flat.

This is a sturdy guitar. Nothing is going to fall off this thing. Everything is there for good.

Never mind that you don't have a legendary amplifier yet!! Get this legendary guitar. I guarantee you will feel like a rockstar. For added effect I added a thundercats sticker to mine. Even cooler!!
